The story of how we got started

Established by Kingsley Hyden in 2016 amidst the landscapes of South Wales, what started as Kingsley Fencing has evolved into a formidable multi-divisional force in the fencing industry. Initially rooted in the local terrain, the company rebranded as Ecofence, maintaining its commitment to quality and expanding its reach under a new name.

January 2016
With a professional background as a key member of staff at an award-winning landscaping company in Cardiff, Kingsley embarked on the journey of founding this business. Recognising the need for a well-organized fencing and decking service, Kingsley prioritised efficiency and customer service as the foundational elements of the business.
June 2016
Facing a busy beginning for the business, Kingsley promptly enlisted the expertise of two highly skilled carpenters to meet the demands of the projects secured.
August 2017
Responding to a surge in business demands, the company expanded its offerings to include decking services and pergolas.

Lumio, previously called Foenix, was a social media analytics company that helped brands like Audi, David Jones and Red Balloon source legitimate influencers for social media campaigns.

The business was voted No. 1 in Newport for fencing contractors in Newport and South Wales.

As the business garnered increased demand and recognition, a brand refresh and further diversification were initiated. This expansion included the addition of a new division named Kingsley Garden Rooms and Summer Houses.

Experiencing a significant surge in demand, reputation, and the expansion of divisions, Kingsley Build Group was established to serve as the umbrella organisation for the consortium of entities operating under the Kingsley brand.

Under our new organisational structure, we are delighted to have secured a substantial contract in Ireland in collaboration with our new partners, Ecolab. Serving as the lead contractor, we are entrusted with the responsibility of evaluating and executing the project.

To do this they would have to build a company that would be profitable in its first year. Not the next Uber of *insert clever idea*.
